Andrew Pinkerton

Andrew Pinkerton is a professional race car driver, strategist, and race engineer from Birmingham, Alabama. He has competed in the top levels of IMSA, MX-5 Cup, WRL, SCCA, NASA, and various endurance racing series around the country. With competition experience in go-karts, formula cars, front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, and prototype race cars he has a depth of knowledge to draw upon at the track. Away from competition and track weekends prior to going fulltime in racing, Andrew’s day jobs included working with the Porsche Track Experience and various ride and drive type programs. These days, Andrew is full time as a race engineer, strategist, and test driver and can be spotted on pit lane at IMSA, SRO, and Indycar race weekends.

His breadth of experience encompasses almost every job imaginable at a race track. He has worked as a; event promoter, photographer, corner worker, shuttle driver, PA announcer, radio producer, race mechanic, journalist, helmet painter, and a driver. This track record of eclectic jobs stems from the fact the Andrew is a first-generation racer. He’s the first in his family to take the interest in cars to the next level. With the help of friends, family, and colleagues he has worked on teams at the club level, to Indycar, and everything in-between.

The determination on and off track to become the best and enjoy a career in motorsports sets Andrew apart from most young drivers. He understands that racing is a business and a sport, it has to be competitive, sustainable, and most importantly fun. Andrew applies this mentality not only to his own racing, but also clients and sponsors. Regardless of where he is driving or working in a given season, Andrew Pinkerton is here to stay.
